In November 1947, Wiesława Pajdak is arrested for her involvement in the anti-communist underground and imprisoned in Warsaw’s Rakowiecka Prison. A few days later, Jerzy Śmiechowski is placed in the cell next to hers. One night, they begin communicating through the wall using Morse code. As hard as it may be to believe, this is how they first met.
